Edible Insects for a Sustainable Future

Compared to traditional protein sources, insects have several advantages and common features: They support a more sustainable production, they have more nutritional and health benefits, they pollute less and are thus more environmentally friendly, and resource utilization is higher and more efficient.

You are invited to a thematic day focussing on 'Edible Insects for a Sustainable Future' with a focus on research and the use of insects for food and feed. Despite the great media attention and the public interest that insects as feed and food is receiving, it is important that we continue to develop this relative new research area and industry.

The aim of the thematic day is to bring together stakeholders across traditional disciplines and interests for a constructive dialogue on status and future efforts in the field, with a special focus on research and industry developments.

We hope that you will participate and contribute positively to the debate.
