The Highly Cited Researchers-analysis 2022 places no less than five researchers at or with affiliation to Department of Chemistry & Bioscience in the science elite. The five are among the World's most cited researchers over the last decade, and their papers rank in the top 1 percent.

The Highly Cited Researchers-analysis 2022 places no less than five researchers at or with affiliation to Department of Chemistry & Bioscience in the science elite. The five are among the World's most cited researchers over the last decade, and their papers rank in the top 1 percent.

A new report from Clarivate Analytics places five researchers from or affiliated with Department of Chemistry & Bioscience, AAU, on the list of the most cited researchers in the world. That's more than ever before.

In the analysis "Highly Cited Researchers 2022" Clarivate trawls the Web of Science™ for highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for a field or fields and publication year. 

The following researchers affiliated with Department of Chemistry & Bioscience are on the 2022-list:

Of the world’s population of scientists and social scientists, Highly Cited Researchers are 1 in 1,000.

What are "Highly Cited Researchers"?

Every year, Clarivate Analytics publishes a list of the world's most influential researchers defined as the one percent of researchers most frequently cited in scientific publications worldwide.

In recent years, the number of AAU researchers in the world's top 1% has steadily increased.

The five researchers can count themselves on the list of the absolute elite of the world's researchers, when it comes to academic citations.

Other researchers on the list from Aalborg University include:

  • Christian Torp-Pedersen
  • Henrik Lund
  • Josep M. Guerrero 
  • Juan C. Vasquez 

In all 7 researchers on the list has their primary affiliation with Aalborg University.

The list of Highy Cited Researchers 2022 is also full of employees from the other universities in Denmark. Aarhus University for example has 12 researchers on the list, and SDU 4.
