Process design
We design and develop processes for a wide range of applications including water and wastewater treatment, oil and gas industry, food and pharma industries. We focus on the membrane processes listed below where our laboratory is equipped with lab-scale and semi-pilot scale of all the listed processes. Our research is aligned with the sustainability goals and circular economy, thus we do not only focus on treatment, but also resource recovery.
- Pressure driven membrane filtration (ultrafiltration, microfiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis)
- Temperature driven membrane operations (Membrane distillation, membrane crystallization, pressure retarded membrane distillation)
- Osmotic driven processes (forward osmosis, pressure retarded osmosis)
- Electrical driven processes (electrodialysis)
- Membrane bioprocesses (membrane bioreactors)
- Integration of advanced oxidation processes and membrane operations
