Disordered Materials

The Disordered Materials research area deals with the fundamental understanding and innovation of glasses, glass fibers, and other types of amorphous materials. It provides knowledge for developing new generation of advanced amorphous materials and relevant technologies. Furthermore, this area involves the fundamentals of amorphous materials, glasses, supercooled liquids, and equilibrium liquids. The development of the highly interdisciplinary Disordered Materials area leads to new methodologies for both characterizations and research in amorphous materials.
