Applied Supramolecular Chemistry
Polymer chemistry
The polymer chemistry group focuses on syntheses, characterization, and application of various types of functional polymers:
- Conjugated polymers for organic solar cells that contain both p-type donor materials for optimal light absorption towards large photocurrent and n-type organic non-fullerene acceptor molecules for the sake of high voltage and electron transport.
- Conjugated small molecule probes for label-free fluorescence turn-on bio-sensing, which is based on the triggering its supramolecular structure within their self-assembled aggregates.
- Organic-inorganic hybrid scaffold materials as bio-implants for tissue engineering, which are both biocompatible, biodegradable, and drug-delivery in a controlled manner with their balanced strength and flexibility.
